How to create Minnie Mouse Inspired Nails!

It seems a long time since I've done a nail tutorial (probably because I've been away), so today I thought I'd do a tutorial. I really didn't know what tutorial to do and then suddenly, minnie mouse popped into my head. So yes, today's nail tutorial will be Minnie Mouse Inspired Nails!

To create these nails you will need:
  • Red nail varnish
  • Black nail varnish
  • White nail varnish
  • Base coat (to stop your nail varnish staining)
  • Dotty tools

You do not need to use these exact nail varnishes, you can use any red, black and white nail varnish. Also, please do not feel like you have to rush out and buy nail art tools because cocktail sticks work just as well.

If you would like to create Minnie Mouse Inspired Nails, all you have to do is follow my nice and easy steps!

1.) Apply the black nail varnish to the tips of your nails, excluding your ring finger. Instead, apply 2 coats of white nail varnish to your ring finger.

2.) Using the red nail varnish and a medium sized dotting tool, apply bows to your nails. On your ring finger, apply 3 large black dots using the black nail varnish and a large dotting tool.

3.) It's time to add a bit of detail. Using the white nail varnish and a small dotting tool, apply small white dots to each of your nails.
On your ring finger, apply 2 small dots next to each of the big dots. You can do this by using the black nail varnish and a small dotting tool. I also applied a small red bow to each of the dots, you can do this by using the red nail varnish and a small, thin tipped tool.

4.) Once your nails are dry, apply a top coat as this will protect your nails. It'll also make them look uberly shiny!

I hope you liked this nail tutorial, my next tutorial will be The Duck Song nails. If you are a bit clueless as to what the duck song is, then here's a video...

Holiday Haul

Whilst on my jolly holidays I picked up some lovely things. The majority of my purchases were at the airport and on the plane due to the generous discount! I honestly couldn't believe the discount in Duty Free, it's awesome! I think I may go shopping in the airport from now on, I'd save myself a lot of money ;) Or a better idea, MAC should do 10% discount for valued customers... I'd definitely be entitled to it ;)

Although the airport is pretty amazing, I didn't really buy THAT much. I thought I would have bought lots but MAC didn't have any collections which was a little bit gutting. I can't complain though, I did get £2.60 off a MAC blush... how awesome!

Anyway, here are the goodies I bought...

Barry M Nail Paint in 'Pink Flamingo' - Boots - £2.99

A swatch...

Ciate Paint Pot in 'Wait Until Dark' - Free in Marie Claire magazine

A swatch...

MAC Lipstick in 'Please Me' - Duty Free - £10.40

A swatch...

MAC Blush in 'Fleur Power' - Duty Free - £14.40

A swatch...

Urban Decay Naked Palette - Plane - £25.50

Cord Bracelet With Key Charm - 4 Euro

Cord Bracelet With Cross Charm - 4 Euro

White Multicolour Bracelet - 1 Euro

I hope you all liked my holiday haul, I shall be doing a full blog post about the Urban Decay Naked Palette so if you're eager to see swatches then they'll be on my blog very shortly!

If you prefer watching videos, then here is my holiday haul video...

If you have any questions or requests, please feel free to comment below! :D What's the best thing you've ever bought from Duty Free? :)

Ciate Paint Pots

Whilst browsing through piles and piles of magazines at the airport, I noticed that Marie Claire had a pretty amazing freebie, a Ciate paint pot. The Ciate paint pots retail at £9.00 each and when the magazine only costs £3.60, it's a steal! A £9.00 nail polish for £3.60 is AMAZING!...I wonder if O.P.I will ever do something like this ;)
I had never really heard of Ciate before so didn't know much about the brand or if the paint pots were any good so I bit the bullet and bought the magazine just so I could try out one of these fun little nail polishes. There were 2 different paint pots available, a lovely shimmery purple (also known as 'Wait Until Dark') and a pale peachy colour (cannot remember the name). I'm not a fan of pale coloured nail polishes as I love bright, vivid colours so I opted for the shimmery purple.

Here's the little gem itself...

This colour is absolutely beautiful. I think I would have purchased this even if it wasn't free in a magazine, it's a stunning colour.
I love the golden undertones in this nail polish and I especially love how shimmery it is! It's so shimmery that you do not need to apply a top coat!
A swatch of this lovely nail polish will be provided at the end of this post.

I wore this nail varnish on holiday to see if the quality was any good and I have to say that it 100% passed the test. It started to chip after 9 days, which in my book, is pretty impressive. I didn't apply a base coat or top coat so I'd say that this little pot of shimmeriness is amazing.

I also noticed in the Marie Claire magazine that Ciate had a 25% off code, when I saw this I knew I had to buy more once I returned home, so I did.

As soon as I got home I bought 3 paint pots and a base coat. The Ciate paint pots I purchased are Big Yellow Taxi, The Glossip and Cupcake Queen, the base coat I purchased is called Polish Grip. My order came to a total of £29.00, not bad considering I bought 3 nail polishes and a base coat!

So without further a do, here are my new Ciate paint pots...

 Big Yellow Taxi - £9.00

 The Glossip - £9.00

Cupcake Queen - £9.00

Polish Grip - £11.00

Here are the lovely swatches...

From left to right; Big Yellow Taxi, The Glossip, Cupcake Queen, Wait Til Dark.

I cannot do a full review on these nail polishes as I haven't worn each of them for a long enough period but once I have trailed each of them, I shall do a full review.

I currently have Big Yellow Taxi on my nails and I have to say that so far, so good! I've been making loads of jewellery today and it has withstood the likes of opening jump rings with my nails and also being jabbed with certain tools. My Barry M nail paint didn't withstand jewellery making so I think the Ciate paint pots are tough cookies!

If you would like to take advantage of the wonderful 25% off code then here it is; CIATE25MC
I think the code is valid until the 20th of September so you still have plenty of time left to make an order :)

Thanks for reading and keep a look out for the full review! :)

So here is the final part of my holiday OOTD's. I promise that when I go on holiday next year, I will keep footage as minimal as possible! Whether I'll stick to this promise is a different story.

I present you with my super duper, lovely jubbly video! :D...

Holiday OOTD's: Part Two

Thankfully I didn't experience anything awful in week 2, I was able to enjoy myself and not worry about looking like a goon.

I've had to upload my week 2 OOTD's into two parts as there is so much footage. So my next post will be my week 2 OOTD's part two, if that makes sense.

I hope you enjoyed watching my video! :D

Holiday OOTD's: Part One

So as you all know, I jetted off to Cyprus 2 weeks ago and I have to say that I had an awesome time. Whilst there I decided to film my lovely holiday outfits as I thought you'd all want to see what I wore. It was also a good way to tell you all what I did each day and inform you of any funny moments.

I did plan on uploading my videos into two parts (part one would included outfits from week 1 and part two would include outfits from week 2) but there is so much footage that I have to upload my holiday OOTD's into three parts. There's probably so much footage because I waffle for about 100000 hours in each of the videos. I planned on making the videos 1 minute long but that plan kinda failed, what can I say, I talk too much ;)

Also, if you're sat there thinking, 'I don't like OOTD's' you should still definitely watch it as you get to see what happened to me whilst on holiday. You'll be shocked, very shocked indeed. All I can say is, if you're going to Cyprus take a hat and sunglasses, you'll need them!

So without further ado, I give you my lovely, intriguing video...

Stayed tuned for part two! And if you have any questions or requests, please comment in the box below! :D

Many thanks for watching lovely people! :D

You'll be happy to hear...

.....that I'm back from my jolly holidays.....YAAAAAAAAY! :)

I honestly had an amazing time in Cyprus, it was awesome! I did plenty of lilo surfing, rubber ring spinning and pool Olympics. If you are clueless to pool Olympics then you really have never lived. I can't say I did much sunbathing whilst on holiday as it was far too hot, it was like being cooked in a oven. I tried tanning my feet and legs but after 5 minutes of them being in the sun I had to cover them up, it felt like my feet were on fire.

It was great going out to different places each night and I throughly enjoyed looking in all the little shops and tavernas etc. It was also weird to see a Debenhams, Next and Peacocks in Cyprus, it was like being back at home :P The only difference between home and Cyprus is that it's a lot cheaper in the UK. If you're planning on going to Cyprus, you'll need to take PLENTY of money...5 Euro for a box of that is robbing.

Anyway, I won't go into too much detail about my holiday as you'll probably find it boring. However, I do have some funny tales to tell you all but you'll have to wait until I upload my holiday video on YouTube. You'll also witness some very interesting photographs.

So it's now back to reality and more to the point, back to blogging! I have to say that I have missed my blog and YouTube these past 2 weeks, I've also missed talking to you all! I was also shocked by the amount of emails I had, as you can imagine, I had 100's.
I have been a bit of a busy bee today, I've had over 30 jewellery orders so I've been making jewellery non stop today (over 60 pieces of jewellery...woweeeee!) As I put on Facebook before, my hands do not feel like my own. They are UNBELIEVABLY sore :(

As well as the jewellery orders, I have been making new pieces of jewellery...

Dotty Heart Cupcake Earrings - £3.25

Red Heart Earrings - £2.75

Long Cross Necklace - £3.50

Sterling Silver Sideways Cross Necklace - £5.50

Plaited Friendship Bracelet - £2.50 (Exclusive offer - 2 for £4.50)

Twist Friendship Bracelet - £2.00 (Exclusive offer - 2 for £3.50)

If you're interested in buying any of my new pieces then please feel free to contact me. Friendship bracelets can also be made in a variety of colours, just let me know which colours you would like.

I also need charm ideas, what are you into at the moment? Coins? Birds? Stars? I need your advice so any suggestions would be great! :)

I hope you like my new pieces and I hope you haven't missed me too much whilst I've been away ;)

To end on a good note here is a little discount code for you all. If you're a lover of Ciate, like myself, here is a 25% off discount code to use on the Ciate website. The website is and the code is 'CIATE25MC'

Many thanks for reading and I hope you're all okay! :)

MAC Swatches!

Last week I purchased a couple of things from the new MAC collections so I thought I'd show you what I bought.

I bought an eyeshadow duo from the Colourizations collection and a lip bag from the Cinematics collection. I honestly felt a little disappointed with the collections because they basically consist of products I'd seen before, I also found the products to be a little dire. I'd rather spend my money on the fabulous collections that are being launched later this year :D

Anyway, let's get down to the nitty gritty! Here are the lovely things I bought...

MAC Colourizations Duo in 'Double Feature 3' - £20.00

 MAC Cine-matics Lip Bag in 'It's A Girl' - £27.50

Lipstick in 'Innocence Beware'

Lip liner in 'Cream O Spice'

Dazzleglass in 'It's A Girl'

So there you have it, my lovely MAC purchases! I have to say that I was a little unimpressed with the eyeshadow duo because it isn't pigmented at all, the colours hardly show up. I just hope they show up on the eye but judging from the amount of swipes I had to do to produce one swatch, I doubt they'll show up well.

Have you bought anything from the new collections? If so, do you like what you bought? :)

Thanks for reading!
