August Favourites

You've probably read plenty of these posts already, so here's another one to add to your list.

Here are my August favourites, hope you enjoy!...

Nars Loose Powder in Flesh - £26.50
\

I love this powder, it's probably the best powder that I've ever tried. Not only does this powder last all day, it reduces any shininess that you may have on and it also feels really light on the skin, it doesn't feel cakey whatsoever.
The powder is a little expensive but you do get a lot for your money, I have had this powder since February and I haven't even used a quarter of it! Pretty good considering I use it every single day without fail!

Benefit High Beam - £18.50

I took this little beauty on my jolly holidays and I have to say that I used it every single day without fail. I love how it has a slight pink undertone as it compliments my NC15 skin perfectly. It's very different to all of the other highlighters I own as they all contain shimmer or an undertone of gold so it's nice to use something a little different.
It is a little pricey and it doesn't beat either of my Nars highlighters (they're simply amazing) but I will probably end up purchasing the full version once this sample size has run out, which won't be anytime soon.
This little bottle is nowhere near half empty so it just shows how little you have to use. It's great on the brow bones, cheek bones and even on your cupid's bow!

Bobbi Brown Blush in 'Nectar' - £18.00

BEST BLUSH EVER! If you haven't tried a Bobbi Brown blush before then I highly recommend that you do so as they are amazing. They are probably the most pigmented blushes in the world (no word of a lie) and the range of shades is wonderful, they have a mix of both plain and shimmer shades.
I think my next Bobbi Brown purchase will definitely be the pink shimmer blush! Glitteriness is definitely the word!

Clarins HydraQuench Tinted Moisturiser in '01' - £27.00

The Clarins HydraQuench tinted moisturiser is a perfect summer essential, I took this on holiday with me and used it every day. It has the texture of a moisturiser but the shade of a foundation, this to me is perfection in a bottle. It feel like your wearing nothing on your skin, great for wearing on holiday as the heat doesn't make you feel like your makeup is running down your face.
The only downfall to this is that it smells, it's not overpowering but it's obvious it has a slight smell. Again I don't find this to be a problem but some of you may hate it.

MAC Pro Longwear Lipstick in 'Overtime' - £15.50

This lipstick is fab. It's probably the nicest pinky/nude lipstick that I own and I think if MAC were to discontinue this lipstick, I'd well and truly stock up before they did. I'd probably buy around 15 as they'd last me forever.
The texture of this lipstick may be off putting to some people as it's quite drying but this doesn't really bother me. If you had superly dry lips then this lipstick probably isn't for you.
The longevity of this lipstick is amazing, it lasts all day, even through drinking and eating.

Urban Decay Primer Potion - £14.50

I use the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion every single day without fail and I think if Urban Decay were to ever discontinue this, I'd cry for about 12 years. You do not understand how much I LOVE this.
It does an amazing job of keeping your eyeshadow on. I also think this baby could make a crap eyeshadow stay put.

Urban Decay Naked Palette - £35.00

This probably has to be the best buy of the whole year. I was unsure about the Naked palette at first as I kept questioning whether I would use it or not, if you know me well then you'll know that I hardly wear nude toned eyeshadows. I'm so glad that I just bit the bullet and bought it because I LOVE it, I used it every day on holiday and now I could never imagine not using it.
The colours in the palette are beautiful. They are uberly shimmery and pigmented and you can create tons of looks with this palette. There's a good mix of neutral and smokey shades, which I love.
If you don't own the Naked palette then I think you should invest in one as you won't regret it!

Real Techniques/Sigma Brushes - Range from £8.00 - £18.00
From left to right; Buffing Brush, Contour Brush, Pointed Foundation Brush, Shading Brush, Sigma E25 Blending Brush.

I've been using these brushes everyday without fail for around 2 months. They are brilliant brushes and I must say, pretty affordable. The Sigma brush retails at £8.00 and the Real Techniques brushes came in a set which retails at £18.00.

Swatches...

Top Row: Urban Decay Primer Potion, Clarins HydraQuench Tinted Moisturiser.
Bottom Row: Benefit High Beam, Bobbi Brown 'Nectar' Blush, MAC 'Overtime' Lipstick.
