Comparison: MAC Mineralise Eyeshadows for 2011 -vs- MAC In The Groove Eyeshadows

I don't know if many of you are aware of this but MAC are releasing new mineralise eyeshadows. The new mineralise eyeshadows will be available in the USA from the 19th of May and they'll be available internationally at some point in June. The mineralise eyeshadows will include 6 new limited edition colours and they'll be available for 12 months. After 12 months the eyeshadows will be made permanent but you'll only be able to get them in free standing MAC stores and MAC Pro stores.

A list of the new colours:
- This And That
- Mix And Switch
- Sage And Wisdom
- Heaven And Earth
- Thunder And Rain
- Pretty And Prim

Here's what they look like...

These eyeshadows look absolutely amazing and I really cannot wait until they are launched in the UK.
However I cannot help but think that they're almost identical to the eyeshadows that were launched in the MAC In The Groove collection last summer.

Here are the eyeshadows that were launched in the MAC In The Groove collection...

Now correct me if I'm wrong but don't you think that the only difference between the two is that the new mineralise eyeshadows are missing one band of colour?

Here are the comparisons...

MAC mineralise eyeshadow 'Sage And Wisdom' -vs- MAC mineralise trio 'Cool, Calm And Collected'...

'Sage And Wisdom'

'Cool, Calm And Collected'

The only difference between the two is that the trio has an additional beige layer.

MAC mineralise eyeshadow 'Heaven And Earth' -vs- MAC mineralise trio 'Blue My Mind'...

'Heaven And Earth'

'Blue My Mind'

The only difference between the two is that the trio has an additional pale blue layer

MAC mineralise eyeshadow 'Thunder And Rain' -vs- MAC mineralise trio 'Togetherness'...

'Thunder And Rain'

'Togetherness'

The only difference between the two is that the trio has an additional lilac layer

MAC mineralise eyeshadow 'Pretty And Prim' -vs- MAC mineralise trio 'Fresh And Easy'...

'Pretty And Prim'

'Fresh And Easy'

The only difference between the two is that the trio has an additional grey layer

MAC mineralise eyeshadow 'Mix And Switch' -vs- MAC mineralise trio 'Making It Easy'...

'Mix And Switch'

'Making It Easy'

The only difference between the two is that the trio has an additional golden layer

If you already own some of the MAC In The Groove eyeshadows then I probably wouldn't suggest buying the new mineralise eyeshadows that are being launched soon as they're too similar to the new mineralise eyeshadows.

Hope these comparisons have been helpful!
:D
