Modern 1960's Makeup Tutorial

As you all know, I'm doing a series of the different eras, from the 1920's to present day. So far I've done the 1920's but I still need to do the other eras. The tutorial I've done today isn't a traditional 1960's look, it's just a modern take on it so if you want to know what a traditional 1960's look looks like, I'll be writing up the post soon. 

I absolutely love 1960's makeup so thought I'd create a modern day version of it. I wore this look on my latest video (Junes Loves, Likes & Loathes) and a lot of you said you'd like a tutorial on it, so here it is! If you'd like to create this look, keep on reading!

Face
1.) Apply a primer to your skin. If you have oily skin you need to use a matte primer and if you have dry skin you need to use a satin primer or moisturiser.
2.) Once the primer has dried, apply foundation using a buffing brush. Using a buffing brush will help to buff the foundation into the skin and this will give a flawless finish. If you have oily skin you need to use a water-based foundation and if you have dry skin you need to use an oil-based foundation. After selecting the correct foundation for your skin type, you need to think about the coverage and finish you would like (e.g. light, medium or full coverage & matte, dewy or demi-matte finish).
3.) After you have finished the eye makeup, apply concealer underneath your eyes and also on any imperfections. Remember to use a salmon/pink toned concealer underneath your eyes and a concealer that matches your foundation on any imperfections. You can also use a lighter concealer to highlight with, you could highlight your chin, cupid's bow, cheekbones, centre of the nose, above your eyebrows and the centre of your forehead.
4.) Using an angled face brush and a matte brown bronzer, sculpting powder/cream or darker concealer, contour your face. You could contour your cheekbones, nose, forehead, temples, under your chin, basically wherever you feel like you need to contour.
5.) Apply a pale blush (pink, peach, coral etc) to the apples of the cheeks. You don't want to use a bright blush as the eyes are very dramatic therefore you need to keep face makeup quite natural.

Eyes
1.) Apply a base to your eyes, e.g. an eyeshadow base, concealer or paint pot. Apply the base all over your eyelid using either your finger or a flat eyeshadow brush and blend using a blending brush. Blend up to the brow bone as eyeshadow is going to be placed on the brow bone. Set the base with a translucent powder or pale matte eyeshadow. When using matte eyeshadows, it's important to set the base first as you'll find it hard to blend the eyeshadows.
2.) Spray a small amount of hairspray onto a spoolie brush and then brush through your eyebrows, this will help to shape your eyebrows and keep them in place. Then using an eyebrow powder or eyeshadow and an angled eyebrow brush, apply a paler shade to the inner part of the eyebrow and a darker shade to the outer part. If you want your eyebrows to look precise and perfect, apply concealer around the edges of your eyebrows, you can do this by using a creamy concealer and a flat eyeshadow brush.
3.) Using a flat eyeshadow brush, apply white matte eyeshadow all over the eyelid up to the crease. Blend the edges using a blending brush.
4.) Using a blending brush, apply a grey-brown matte eyeshadow to the crease and blend.
5.) Using a small detail brush and a black matte eyeshadow, draw a black line in your crease and blend using a blending brush. If you want to create a dark smokey look, keep building up the colour.
6.) Using a flat eyeshadow brush, apply a white matte eyeshadow to the brow bone.
7.) Using an angled eyeliner brush and a black gel eyeliner, create a wing. You can create a subtle or strong wing, it's entirely up to you.
8.) Using a pencil brush, apply a small amount of the grey-brown matte eyeshadow to the bottom lash line.
9.) Line the lower waterline with a white kohl eyeliner and the upper waterline with a black kohl eyeliner.
10.) Apply a light coat of mascara to the top and bottom eyelashes. 

11.) Apply top and bottom fake eyelashes. I recommend using DUO eyelash glue to stick on the eyelashes as it's super strong.

Lips
1.) Using a lip brush, apply a pale nude lipstick to the lips.

1950's Inspired Prom Makeup Tutorial

As it's prom season here in the UK, I thought I'd do a prom makeup tutorial. Now the typical prom makeup tutorials on Youtube are variations of a smokey eye so I'd thought I'd do something a little different. I love the 1950's and judging from the photograph I posted on Instagram last week, the majority of you do too. I thought I'd combine both the 1950's and prom makeup to create a 1950's inspired prom makeup tutorial. I'm going to be doing a traditional 1950's makeup tutorial soon so keep a look out for that.

Face

Eyes
1.) Apply a base to your eyes, e.g. an eyeshadow base, concealer or paint pot. Apply the base all over your eyelid using either your finger or a flat eyeshadow brush and blend using a blending brush. This will blend out any harsh lines.
2.) Brush your eyebrows through with a spoolie brush. Then using an eyebrow powder or eyeshadow and an angled eyebrow brush, apply a paler shade to the inner part of the eyebrow and a darker shade to the outer part. Set with an eyebrow gel or simply spray your spoolie brush with hairspray and brush though your eyebrows.
3.) Using a flat eyeshadow brush, apply a light cream shimmer eyeshadow all over the eyelid up to the crease. Blend the edges using a blending brush.
4.) Apply a soft brown eyeshadow to the outer corner of the eye and blend into the crease, this can be done using a blending brush.
5.) Apply a darker brown eyeshadow to the very outer corner of the eye and blend using a blending brush. If you want to create a smokey look, keep building up the colour. If you want a softer look, repeat the step twice, no more than that.
6.) Using a small brush, apply a light cream shimmer pigment to the brow bone and the inner corner of the eye.
7.) Using an eyeliner brush and a black gel eyeliner, create a wing. You can create a subtle or strong wing, it's entirely up to you.
8.) Using a pencil brush, apply a small amount of the dark brown eyeshadow to the bottom lash line.
9.) Then line the lower lash line with a black kohl eyeliner and smudge with an eyeshadow brush.
10.) Apply black kohl liner to both the top and bottom waterline.
11.) Apply mascara and/or eyelashes.

Lips
1.) Line the lips with a red lip pencil. Either follow your natural lip shape or create a fuller or smaller lip.
2.) Using a lip brush, apply red lipstick over the top of the lip liner.

Once your makeup is done, set with a setting spray as this will prolong your makeup.

Obviously you don't have to wear red lips, you could go for a nude, pink or coral lip instead but due to this look being inspired by the 1950's I thought I'd go for a red lip. You could also opt for a subtle wing as opposed to a dramatic wing, it's entirely up to you. You could also re-create this look using different colours on the eyes, for example, silver and black.

1920's Makeup, Hair & Fashion: Information & Makeup Tutorial

As I stated on my previous haul video, I'm going to be creating makeup tutorials from all the different era's, from  the 1920's to present day (2013). Along with the makeup tutorials I'm going to be writing informative posts about each era, taking about the icons, makeup, hair and fashion of each era.
The first era I've decided to talk about is the 1920's.

The 1920's makeup revolution took off with the style of the flapper. In the early 1920's a subtle smokey eye was popular but in the late 1920's a dark smokey eye was popular, it was the style of the flapper that influenced people to wear a dark smokey eye. It was seen to be very stylish and sexy.

Key Points:
- Big, bold, rounded eyes.
- Low, straight, thin, dark eyebrows.
- Pale, matte skin.
- Dark bow-shaped lips.
- Typically no blush but some people did use it.

Foundation:

• The base is natural and of a slightly pale shade to give a fresh, porcelain look. The foundation is applied lightly but is heavily powdered with face powder. This helps to enhance the lightness, set the foundation and also give a matte look.
• During the early 1920's white, cream or ivory coloured face powder was used by most women. In the middle of the 1920's flesh coloured face powder was used.

Blush:

• Blush often wasn't worn but if it was to be worn, shades of rose, raspberry and orange were used. These were the 3 popular shades.

Eyebrows:

• Thin and downward sloping eyebrows were popular. They sloped downwards to give the impression of being sad. 
• Eyebrows were drawn on using black or brown eyeliner/powder.

Eyes:

• Eyes were a rounded shape rather than a winged shape.
• Eyeshadow in dark shades of green, blue, purple, brown or black were used. Dark shades were used on the eyelids to give a bold look.
• Eyeliner could also be applied to give an enhanced image. The whole eye was edged with black eyeliner, both in the top and bottom waterline. Black eyeliner was also applied to the top and bottom lash line and was smudged, possibly to give a sexy smokey look. In the 1920's women created black eyeliner and mascara by mixing goose fat or petroleum jelly with soot or coal. Some women also used grease paint sticks and kohl pencils.
• In the early 1920's eyelashes were painted black using a mix of goose fat or petroleum jelly with soot or coal. During the middle of the 1920's, mascara became available in cake, tube, wax and liquid form and it was applied with a brush. Mascara that came in a tube had to be heated up before applying. 
• Eyelashes weren't used in this era. 

Lips:

• The lip shape was adapted/enhanced to give a strong look.
• Heart shaped lips were popular in the 1920's. The bow (cupid's bow) of the lips was exaggerated using lip liner and lipstick, as well as the bottom lip being made to look fuller. The corners of the lips were thinned out slightly to give slight points in the mouth. 
• At the beginning of the 1920s, lips were coloured in shades of dark red, dark burgundy, maroon and rich purple were used. In the middle of the 1920s, lips were coloured in shades of deep red, deep brownish reds, plum and orange. At the end of the 1920s, lips were coloured in shades of rose, raspberry and medium red.

1920's Hairstyles

• In the 1920's the infamous 'Bob' was created. The Bob haircut was a blunt cut, level with the bottom of the ears all around the head, women often wore their Bob in a waved or shingled style. The Bob was also worn with bangs (a fringe) or with the hair brushed off of the forehead. Bobbed hair also prompted the invention of the bobbie pin, also known as the kirby grip in the UK.
• The Bob Cut, Marcel Wave, Eton Crop, and Shingle were popular hairstyles, they were seen to be modern and stylish. Those women who didn't conform to the 'cropped' trend opted for a Chignon instead. Slicked back hair was also popular.
• Curling, perming and colouring methods became popular in the 1920's.

1920's Fashion

• Dresses & Skirts - Most dresses and skirts rested just below the knee, often just above the ankle. Knee length dresses were paired with short necklaces and ankle length dresses were paired with long necklaces. Flapper dresses were also popular, they didn't have a defined waistline, instead the waistline was very low, and often sat below the bum. 
• Tops, Tunics & Jumpers - Tops, tunics and jumpers reaching the hips were popular. They were worn to take emphasis away from the hips and hide the female shape. 
• Shoes - T-Bar shoes were popular as women were fond of the strap design.
• Accessories - The cloche hat, sequinned caps, feathered headbands and turbans, pearls and gloves were worn in the 1920's. Feathered headbands, turbans and gloves were associated with the flapper. 
• Fabric - Fabrics included chiffon, taffeta, satin, velvet, brocade and lace. Fur, feathers, flowers and beading were also popular. 

1920's Makeup Tutorial

Face:

1. Apply a matte foundation. If you have oily skin you may want to use a matte primer first, Illamasqua Matte Primer and Face To Face All Matte are great primers for if you have oily skin.
2. Apply a powder, not only will this set the foundation but it will also make the skin more matte.
3. Concealer wasn't popular in the 1920's but if you will like to you to apply any to under eye circles or blemishes, feel free to.
4. Apply a rose coloured blush to the apples of the cheeks. 

Eyes:

1. You can either create the authentic 1920's eyebrow shape or you can fill in your natural eyebrow shape. 
2. Apply an eyeshadow base to the eyelids, preferably of a dark shade. Apply to the eyelids and blend in a circular motion just above the crease. 
3. Set the eyeshadow base with a translucent powder. If you're using a matte eyeshadow on top of an eyeshadow base you have to set the base first with a translucent powder, but if you're using a shimmer eyeshadow on top of an eyeshadow base you don't have to set the base with a translucent powder. 
4. Apply a matte brown eyeshadow all over the eyelid and blend into the crease. 
5. Apply a matte black eyeshadow at the base of the eyelid and then taking a blending brush and the brown matte eyeshadow, blend the black eyeshadow. If you want the black eyeshadow to be more obvious, don't blend with a brown eyeshadow, just use a clean blending brush instead. 
6. Apply the matte black eyeshadow all over the eyelid and hen taking a blending brush and the brown matte eyeshadow, blend the black eyeshadow. Again if you want the black eyeshadow to be more obvious and intense, blend using a clean blending brush. 
7. Using a pencil brush, apply the matte brown eyeshadow to the lower lash line. 
8. Line the top and bottom waterline with a black kohl pencil.
9. Line the top and bottom lash line with a black kohl pencil and smudge using the brush which you used to apply the black eyeshadow to the eyelids. 
10. Apply mascara to the top and bottom lashes. 

Lips:

1. Apply a dark burgundy lip liner to the lips. It's important to emphasise the cupid's bow and make the lower lip fuller. The general idea is to create a heart shape. 
2. Once you have the desired shape, fill in the lips using a dark burgundy lipstick.

Tropical Green Look

I love green eyeshadow and probably own about 100 green eyeshadows but I have to admit that I've somewhat neglected them over the past few months. Today I decided to use some of my lovely green eyeshadows and create a summery, tropical look. 

I decided to wear bold lips as well as bright eyes as I think the two look lovely together. I opted for a pink/coral lipstick as I thought it complimented the green eyeshadow nicely.  

Products used to create this look:

Eyes:

• MAC Paint Pot in 'Bare Study' 
• Inglot 'Pearl 412' 
• Inglot 'D.S 477'
• Inglot 'AMC Shine 17' 
• Sleek Curacao Palette (Eyeshadows Used: 'Screwdriver' and 'Martini' )
• L'Oreal Super Liner
• Avon Supershock Gel Eyeliner Pencil in 'Black' 
• YSL Shocking Mascara

Face:

• Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in '06' 
• Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in '01 Fair'

Lips:

• Figs & Rouge Peppermint Lip Balm

How to create this look:

1.) Apply 'Bare Study' to the eyelid using your fingers or a flat eyeshadow brush, blend out the edges using a blending brush. Bare Study works as a base for the eyeshadow. 

2.) Apply Inglot 'Pearl 412' all over the eyelid using a large eyeshadow brush. 

3.) Apply Inglot 'D.S 477' in the outer corner of the eye and blend into the centre of the eye using a blending brush. 

4.) Apply Inglot 'AMC Shine 17' into the crease of the eye and blend using a blending brush.

5.) Using a small eyeshadow brush apply 'screwdriver' to the very inner corner of the eye.  

5.) Apply 'Martini' to the brow bone using a small eyeshadow brush.  

6.) Using the L'Oreal Super Liner, create a winged effect. 

7.) Apply a small amount of Inglot 'AMC Shine 17' to the bottom lash line using a smudge brush. Only apply it to the outer part of the bottom lash line.

8.) Apply a small amount of 'screwdriver' to the bottom lash line using a smudge brush. Only apply it to the inner part of the bottom lash line.

9.) Apply the Avon Supershock Gel Eyeliner to both the bottom and top waterline. 

10.) The final step is to apply the YSL Shocking Mascara to both the bottom and top eyelashes.

Lana Del Rey 'Born To Die' Look

I think Lana Del Rey is possibly one of the most talked about people right now as her music has become a favourite amongst a lot of people. Not only that but her album has reached the No.1 hot spot in 11 countries, pretty impressive. 

Because of all the 'Lana Love' that's going on, I thought I'd re-create the look she wore in the 'Born To Die' video.

If you would like to know how to create this look, follow my nice and easy steps.

1. Apply Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion to the eyelids. Blend using a finger. 
2. First apply the base eyeshadow, for this apply a small amount of 'Foxy' to the eyelids using a flat eyeshadow brush.
3. Once the base eyeshadow has been applied, apply 'Booty Call' directly over the top. Again, use a flat eyeshadow brush. 
4. It's time to apply eyeshadow, for this take a small amount of 'Tease' on a blending brush and place in the socket of the eye. Only blend lightly as it doesn't need to be fully blended out. It needs to look as if there's a dark shade on the socket. 
5. To emphasise the darkness, apply 'Snakebite' directly over the top of the 'Tease'. Again, blend lightly.
6. Using 'Blackout' and an eyeliner brush, line the top lash line.
7. Apply 'Tease' and 'Snakebite' to the bottom lash line. You can do this by mixing the 2 eyeshadows together and using an eyeliner brush to apply. 
8. Use 'Fascinating' on the bottom waterline as this will open the eyes. 
9. Line the top lash line using the penultimate eyeliner and create a large wing.
10. Apply mascara to the top and bottom eyelashes. At this point you can also apply false eyelashes. 

For the face, apply foundation to the skin using a flat top brush and then apply red lipstick to the lips. I didn't apply blush or bronzer as Lana Del Rey didn't appear to wear any in the video.

Quick & Easy Neutral Look

Ever been in the situation where you've got less than half an hour to get ready? Have you ever woke up at the crack of dawn and felt like you couldn't be bothered applying an ounce of makeup? If you answered yes to both of these questions, then this post is going to be useful.

I've had past experiences where I haven't been able to apply makeup in the morning and if truth be told, it annoyed me. I love wearing makeup but when you have to wake up early, you just don't feel like applying it. I have recently been using some products which take little time to apply but still look lovely. 

I've decided to do a quick and easy neutral look as I feel people prefer to wear neutral colours. If you'd like me to do a quick and easy look using other colours then please feel free to ask me. 

Here's the quick and easy neutral look...

Products used to create this look:

• MAC Paint Pot in 'Vintage Selection
• Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette (Eyeshadows used; 'Suspect', 'Pistol' and 'Booty Call')
• Urban Decay Glide On 24/7 Eye Pencil in 'Bourbon'
• MAC Penultimate Eyeliner
• Bourjois Fast & Perfect Mascara

If you would like to create this look then all you have to do is follow my nice and easy steps. 

1.) Apply Vintage Selection to your eyelids. I find patting it on with a flat eyeshadow brush works best. 

If you want a really opaque colour on your eyelid, apply one layer then let it dry. Once dry, apply a second layer.

2.) Apply ‘Suspect’ to the outer corner and blend using a blending brush. A simple way to blend is in ‘v motions’. Blend into the centre and also into the crease. 

  

3.) If you’d like more of a smokey look, apply a small amount of ‘Pistol’ to the outer corner. It is key you don’t over blend ‘Pistol’; just literally place it in the inner corner using circular motions.

4.) For the highlight, apply ‘Booty Call’ to the brow bone. 

5.) Using ‘Bourbon’, line your bottom lash line. 

6.) Apply the MAC eyeliner to your top lash line, I didn’t create a winged effect as I wanted to keep the look quite neutral but you can do winged eyeliner if you’d like to. 

7.) Apply mascara to both your bottom and top eyelashes.

Katy Perry 'Change Begins Within Celebration' Look

This look was requested a couple of days ago so thought I'd give it a go. It's basically a lovely copper bronze look with strong brows. It's a perfect for any season of the year, especially spring/summer! Katy Perry pulled off this look brilliantly and it complimented her lovely pink and blonde bob very well!

Products used to create this look:

• Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
• Urban Decay Glide On 24/7 Eye Pencil in 'Bourbon' 
• Sleek Original Palette
• MAC Zoom Lash Mascara

Here are the eyeshadows I used from the Sleek Original Palette. I have circled the eyeshadows I used as the eyeshadows in this palette aren't named.

For reference, I'm going to refer to the eyeshadows as gold, copper, and bronze. 

If you would like to create this look then all you have to do is follow my nice and easy steps. 

1. Apply Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion to your eyelids. Blend using either a brush or your finger. 
2. Apply the copper eyeshadow to your eyelids using a flat eyeshadow brush. Patting the eyeshadow on works best for me as I find that it prevents fall-out. Once you've applied the eyeshadow to your eyelids, blend out using a fluffy brush. 
3. Once the base eyeshadow has been blended, apply a small amount of the bronze eyeshadow into the crease and blend again.
4. Taking a large brush, apply the gold eyeshadow to your brow bone. You'll also need to apply the gold eyeshadow to the inner corner of your eye, I used a small eyeliner brush to do this as it's more precise. 
5. Apply the copper eyeshadow to your bottom lash line, you can do this by using any small flat brush. You'll also need to apply the gold eyeshadow on the inner corner of the bottom lash line. 
6. Using a brown eye liner, line your top lash line and both your top and bottom waterline. 
7. Apply mascara to both your bottom and top eyelashes. You could also apply false eyelashes at this point but it's completely optional. 

It sounds quite tricky to do but trust me, it isn't! You also don't need to use the exact products that I used, you can use whatever you want. If you want to know some good alternatives then check out MAC 'Woodwinked' and 'Antiqued' as they are practically the same as the eyeshadows I used.

Cher Lloyd 'With Ur Love' Look

I have grown to love Cher Lloyd's new song so I thought I'd re-create the look that she wore in her video. It's such a smokey yet subtle look and I have to say that I love it. 

Here's the look...

Products used to create this look:

• Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
• Urban Decay Naked Palette (Eyeshadows used were 'Virgin' and 'Buck')
• MAC Eyeshadow in 'Groundcover'
• MAC Eyeshadow in 'Short Shorts'
• Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eyeliner Pencil in 'Zero' 
• Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara
• False Eyelashes (Bought in a pack of 60 from eBay)

If you would like to create this look all you have to do is follow my nice and easy steps.

1. Apply Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion to your eyelids. Blend using your finger.
2. Apply 'Buck' to your eyelids using a flat eyeshadow brush. I find that patting the eyeshadow onto the eyelids works best. 
3. Blend a small amount of 'Groundcover' into the crease using a tapered eyeshadow brush. I blended the 'Groundcover' slightly up to the browbone just to create a more smokey look. 
4. Apply 'Short Shorts' to the browbone using the tapered eyeshadow brush previously used. Also blend into the crease colour.
5. Apply 'Virgin' to the very edge of the browbone using a small eyeshadow brush. 
6. It's time to apply the eyeliner to your bottom and top lash line. Make sure you apply a thick layer as this adds to the smokiness.
7. Apply mascara to your eyelashes and then add on a pair of false eyelashes. It isn't necessary to apply false eyelashes but I did for the purpose of this tutorial.

Beyonce 'Countdown' Look

As many of you will already know, Beyonce has released a new song, 'Countdown'. When I first saw the video for the song, there was one thing I noticed, her makeup. Her makeup is amazing in the video, it's eye-catching, fun and most of all, very Beyonce!
I haven't done a makeup tutorial in a long time so thought I'd do a Beyonce 'Countdown' tutorial. It's very bold and bright so I wouldn't recommend this look to anyone that is a little colour shy.

Here is the look...

Products used to create this look:

• Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
• Urban Decay Naked Palette (Eyeshadows used were Sin, Smog and Darkhorse)
• Sleek Curacao Palette (Eyeshadows used were Screwdriver and Expresso Martini)
• MAC 'Lucky Green' Eyeshadow
• MAC 'Rapidblack' Penultimate Eyeliner
• NYX 'Milk' Jumbo Pencil
• Next White Glitter Eyeliner
• Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara

If you would like to create this look all you have to do is follow my nice and easy steps. 

1.) Apply Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion to your eyelids. Blend using your finger. 

2.) Apply 'Screwdriver' to your eyelids using a flat eyeshadow brush. For best results, pat the eyeshadow onto the eyelids. Also create a slight winged effect.

3.) As Beyonce's eyeshadow is more lime than yellow, apply a small amount of 'Lucky Green' over the top of 'Screwdriver'. 

4.) It's time to create the cut crease, to do this you will need to use 'Darkhorse' and a thin eyeliner brush. Carefully create a line in your crease. To soften the line, blend using a tapered eyeshadow brush. 

5.) Mixing a little bit of 'Smog' and 'Darkhorse', blend from the crease to the brow bone. Again you can blend using the same tapered eyeshadow brush. 

6.) To make the eyeshadow appear a little softer, apply a small amount of 'Sin' to the brow bone. This can be done using any small eyeshadow brush. 

7.) Apply a small amount of 'Screwdriver' to the inner corner of the eye using a small eyeshadow brush. 

8.) Using 'Expresso Martini' and a thin brush, apply to the bottom lash line and then create a smudged effect. This can be done using a sponge applicator. 

9.) Lets create a double winged eyeliner effect. Create one wing effect on the top lash line, and another wing effect on the bottom lash line. 

10.) In between both winged effects, add a small amount of white glitter eyeliner. This makes the black eyeliner stand out. 

11.) To finish off the look, apply mascara to your eyelashes and 'Milk' to your waterline.

Chanel Inspired Makeup Look

I recently bought three of the new Chanel Illusion D'Ombre cream eyeshadows and I have to say that I absolutely adore them, I adore them so much that I use them practically everyday.
They go on like a dream and are very easy to work with, not only that but they last all day without creasing or fading.

Here is a look I created...

To create this look I used 'Epatant' and 'Fantasme'. If you don't know much about the shades or the Chanel Illusion D'Ombres themselves then here is a link to my recent post; Chanel

Products used to create this look:

• Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
• Chanel Illusion D'Ombre in 'Epatant'
• Chanel Illusion D'Ombre in 'Fantasme' 
• MAC Penultimate Eyeliner
• MAC Haute & Naughty Lash

If you would like to create this look then all you have to do is follow my nice and easy steps:
1.) Apply the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion to your eyelids and blend using your finger.
2.) Once the primer potion has dried, apply Epatant all over your eyelids. When applying this to your eyelids make sure you use a flat brush. Then blend out the eyeshadow using a fluffy brush.
3.) Apply a small amount of Fantasme to your inner corner using a small brush then blend into the Epatant using another fluffy brush.
4.) Apply a tiny amount of Fantasme to your bottom lashline using an eyeliner brush. I find that doing this makes your eyes appear a lot bigger and brighter.
5.) Apply black eyeliner to your top lashline and create a winged effect. Also apply the black eyeliner to your waterline.
6.) To finish off the look, apply mascara to your top eyelashes and bottom eyelashes.

Pink And Silver Look Using Urban Decay

I hadn't used my Urban Decay NYC palette for ages so this morning I thought I'd use it. This is the look I created...

What I used to create this look:

-Urban Decay Primer Potion

-Urban Decay NYC Palette - The eyeshadows I used in this palette were 'Money' (A light silver colour), 'Bordello' (A pale pink/beige colour) and 'Rockstar' (A deep purple colour).

-Urban Decay Single Eyeshadow in 'Uzi'

-NYX Jumbo Pencil in 'Milk'

-Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Liner in 'Ransom'

-MAC Fluidline in 'Blacktrack'

-MAC Haute & Naughty Lash

If you would like to create this look then follow my nice and easy steps:

1.) Apply Urban Decay Primer Potion to the eyelids and blend using your finger.

2.) Once the Primer Potion has dried, mix together a bit of Uzi and Money and apply to the inner corner of the eye.

3.) Apply a small about of Bordello into the centre of the eyelid and blend lightly into the eyeshadow that you placed in the inner corner of your eye.

4.) Using a blending brush, apply a small amount of Rockstar to the outer corner of the eye and blend into the crease. Make sure you blend outwards too as this will make your eyeshadow appear softer around the edges.

5.) Dip an eyeliner brush into Blacktrack and carefully create a winged line on your top lash line.

6.) Apply Ransom eyeliner to half of your bottom lash line. Then apply Milk to the other half of your bottom lash line.

7.) To make your eyes look a little brighter, apply Milk to the very inner corner of your eye and then blend using a fluffy brush.

8.) To finish off the look, apply Haute & Naughty lash to your eyelashes.

Makeup Look Using MUA 'Heaven & Earth' Palette

Today I used my MUA 'Heaven And Earth' palette for the very first time and I have to say that I'm really impressed by it. When I first swatched the palette I thought that the brown eyeshadows had a slight orange tone to them but I'm pleased to inform you all that they don't, they are 100% brown toned.

Here's the look I created...

To create this look follow my nice and easy steps:

1.) Apply eyeshadow primer to your eyelids, if you don't own eyeshadow primer then don't worry.

2.) Once the primer has dried, apply the cream eyeshadow all over your eyelids.

3.) Mix together a bit of the chocolate brown eyeshadow and taupe brown eyeshadow and apply to the outer corner, blend the eyeshadow into the crease of your eye but make sure you blend upwards as well. 

4.) Finish off the look by either applying black or brown eyeliner to your water line and mascara to your lashes. 

5.) If fall out occurs, wipe away with a face wipe or fan brush.

I also used my MUA Pro 'English Rose' mosaic blush today...

I love the MUA Pro blush, it's such a lovely colour and there's also no need to use a separate highlighter. I honestly cannot believe it only cost me £2.50... how good is that!

Makeup Look Using MUA 'Eden' Trio

I said at the beginning of the week that I'd do a makeup tutorial using my new MUA 'Eden' trio. I have to say that this trio is brilliant, the eyeshadows are super pigmented, they go on like a dream and they also blend together really well. I own some high end eyeshadows that are a nightmare to blend and they are triple the price of a MUA eyeshadow trio!

The MUA eyeshadow trios retail at £2.50 and they are available in six different shades. They can be bought in-store and online at Superdrug.

Here's the look I created...

If you would like to create this look then all you have to do is follow my nice and easy steps:

1.) First I applied Urban Decay Primer Potion all over my eyelid. I then blended this using my finger.

2.) Once my eyelid had fully dried, I applied the pale green eyeshadow all over my lid. 

3.) I then applied the darker green eyeshadow to the outer corner of my eye and blended this into the crease. I also blended out the eyeshadow to create a smokey look.

4.) I applied the highlight eyeshadow to my brow bone and also to the inner corner of my eye. 

5.) To finish off the look I applied Urban Decay 'Stray Dog' eyeliner to my bottom lash line and MAC Zoom Lash mascara to my lashes. 

I'm so impressed by this trio and I cannot wait until my other MUA goodies arrive. This trio is definitely worth buying, not because of the price but because of the amazing quality!

Purple Look Using NYX

As you all know, I recently bought three NYX jumbo eye pencils in 'Milk', 'Horse Raddish' and 'Oyster'. As I hadn't tried them out I thought I'd create a makeup look using one of them, I chose to test 'Oyster'. Oyster is a light pink colour with a blue/lilac undertone and if you'd like to see a swatch then click on this link; NYX Jumbo Pencils

This look probably won't be to everyones taste as it is quite bright but if you love purple and like to stand out then I'm sure you'll love this look.

Here's the look...

Here's how I created the look:

1.) First I applied eyeshadow primer all over my eyelid, I then blended this using my finger. I used Urban Decay Primer Potion as I personally think this is the best eyeshadow primer ever!

2.) Once the eyeshadow primer had set, I applied 'Oyster' all over my eyelid. I basically used 'Oyster' as a base.

3.) I then applied MAC 'Digit' eyeshadow on top of 'Oyster'. You'll notice that 'Oyster' enhances the colour of 'Digit'.

4.) I then used a small amount of purple eyeshadow in the outer corner of my eye and blended this into the crease. I used the purple eyeshadow in the Sleek Original i-Divine palette.

5.) To finish off the look I applied Urban Decay 'Asphyxia' eyeliner to my bottom lash line and used a small amount of Urban Decay 'Zero' eyeliner on my waterline. I then applied MAC Zoomlash to my lashes.

Golden Purple Glittery Look

I really didn't know what colour makeup to do today so I thought I'd opt for purple as it's one of my favourite colours to wear.

Here's my eye makeup...

Again with my eyelid shut...

I primarily used my Sleek Original i-Divine palette and my purple Black Up pigment to create this look.

Here is my Sleek Original i-Divine palette, I have circled the eyeshadows that I used to create this look...

First I applied the pinky beige eyeshadow all over my lid. I then applied a small amount of the purple eyeshadow to the outer corner of my eye and blended this into the crease of my eye. Taking a small tapered brush I applied purple pigment to the crease of my eye and created a small wing, I then blended this out to my socket. I also applied the purple pigment to my bottom lash line using an eyeliner brush.

To complete my eye makeup I applied black gel liner to my waterline, applied mascara to my lashes and added a bit of gold glitter to the inner corner of my eye.

Blue Inspired Look Using Makeup Atelier

Yesterday I decided to create a look using my Makeup Atelier palette.

To create this look I applied the white eyeshadow all over my lid. I did this to create a base. I then applied the turquoise eyeshadow on top of the white eyeshadow. I applied a small amount of the navy eyeshadow to the outer corner of my eye and blended this into the crease of my eye. I used the same navy eyeshadow on my bottom lash line too. I softened the edges of the eyeshadow by using my infamous Crown Brush.

To finish off the look I applied black gel liner to my waterline and mascara to my lashes. 

Here are the eyeshadows I used to create this look. I have circled them specifically so it's easier to understand which eyeshadows I used.

I found it hard to find the correct lipstick to go with this look so I opted for MAC 'Frou'. 'Frou' is a glaze lipstick and it has a lovely sheen effect! In my opinion it looks very golden.
