Sleek Blush By 3 Palette in 'Lace'

I have been after this palette for a long time after seeing it on display around 2 weeks ago. They haven't had 'Lace' in stock for a while but when I checked yesterday they had 2 left, so I bought them both. So I bet you're wondering why I purchased 2 of these lovely palettes and now I'm going to tell you why. I bought one for myself and one for my giveaway.

So without further ado, here is my review on the Sleek Blush By 3 'Lace' palette!

What do Sleek have to say about the Blush By 3 palettes?

"The Blush by '3' palette has been formulated with intense pigment, yet the shades can be layered, in order to achieve the required intensity."

"The Lace palette consists of 3 fully pigmented matte and shimmer blushers."

How would you describe the 'Lace' palette and where is it available?

As Sleek stated, the Lace palette consists of 2 matte blushers ('Crochet' & 'Chantilly') and one shimmer blusher ('Guipure'). 'Guipure' is a peach toned shade with gold shimmer, it reminds me of Nars 'Orgasm' blush except Guipure is a more of an orange peach whereas Orgasm is more of a pink peach. The other two matte shades within the palette are 'Crochet' and 'Chantilly'.  'Crochet' is an oranged toned red shade and 'Chantilly' is a bright orange shade. There is a nice mix of colours within the palette and I would definitely say that this is a palette for summer.
The Blush By 3 palettes also come with a large mirror. They're the perfect palettes for carrying around in your handbag and for taking on holiday. 

The Sleek Blush By 3 palettes are currently available in-store at Superdrug but they'll only be available in Superdrug for a short period of time. I know that they'll also be available on the Sleek website very very soon so if your local Superdrug doesn't stock many of the Lace palettes, have no fear, they'll be available online.
There are five different Blush By 3 palettes available, these are 'Brown Sugar', 'Flame', 'Lace', 'Pumpkin' and 'Pink Spirit'. Each of the palettes contain both matte and shimmer blushes except from the 'Pink Spirit' palette which consists of all matte blushes. The Blush By 3 palettes retail at £9.99 which is amazing! Each blush works out to be around £3.33 and that is a bargain!

Is the 'Lace' palette suitable for everyone?

I would recommend this palette to anyone as peach toned blushes tend to suit all skin tones. 

I was scared of this palette at first because the blushes looked so bright and I feared that they wouldn't look right on my ghostly pale skin. However, these blushes look lovely! The trick is to use a light hand with them because they are very pigmented. 'Crochet' reminds me of Illamasqua 'Hussy' and I know that when I use 'Hussy' I have to use a light hand with that too. 

The shades in the Lace palette are lovely and I can 100% guarantee that they'll look great on everyone, it just depends on if peach toned blushes are your cup of tea. 

The Good

• Pigmentation - The pigmentation of these blushes is amazing! I think the shimmer blushes are more pigmented than the matte blushes but this will be due to the high amount of shimmer within the blush. When swatching the blushes I only used one swipe so it just proves how pigmented they are. 
• Texture - The blushes have a soft, smooth texture and they aren't chalky at all. They also blend really well so you're able to either build the colour, or tone it down. 
• Application - The blush applies very well and I think this is due to the texture as the blushes are very soft and smooth. When applying the blush to your cheeks it's important that you use a light hand or you may end up looking like Aunt Sally. 
• Price -  The Blush By 3 palettes retail at £9.99 which is amazing considering the palette contains 3 high quality blushes. If you were to buy 3 Nars blushes it would cost £63.00, that is utter madness. So if you're wanting to buy a variety of blushes but don't want to sell your cat, dog and grandma in order to do so, check out the Sleek Blush By 3 palettes! Amazing quality, amazing shades, amazing price. 
• Size - The palette contains 20 grams meaning each blush will weigh approximately 6.66 grams. The standard blush contains around 6 grams of product so it's great how the blushes within the palette contain approximately 6.66 grams. I know for a fact that the standard Sleek blushes contain a lot more product but I guess you can't have everything! At the end of the day, 6.66 grams of product is a lot and I doubt I'll even get through one of these palettes. 
• Packaging - I like the packaging, it looks sleek.. see what I did there ;) I love the box the palette comes in as it's fun, quirky and matches the palette very well. I don't think I'd ever want to smash my blush but it looks funky on the packaging. I also think it's great that palette is small and compact as it's just the right size for carrying in your handbag and also your makeup bag, or in my case, make up mountain. I also love how the palette has a huge mirror too.

The Okay

• Variety / Selection- I wouldn't say the variety of palettes is bad as I think there's a nice variety of palettes available, it's just that they may not be to everyones taste. The palettes look very bold and bright so I would imagine that people who prefer to wear pale, neutral blush will not like these palettes at all. If Sleek produced a palette designed for those who didn't like bold colours, they definitely will have hit the nail on the head. 
• Availability - The Blush By 3 palettes are only available in-store at Superdrug at the moment which could be an issue for some people as I know that the smaller Superdrug stores do not stock these palettes. I'm lucky enough to have 2 Superdrug stores by me but I know some people may struggle to find these lovely palettes. I guess the good thing is that they'll also be sold on the Sleek website very soon.

The Bad

• The only concern I had with this palette is that I couldn't work out what shade was which as the names are displayed in the order they are in the palette but other than that, I don't have a bad word to say about this palette. It contains lovely summer shades, has amazing pigmentation and best of all, it's only £9.99! A big thumbs up to you Sleek, I will definitely be taking this little gem on holiday with me!

MUA Pro Mosaic Blush in 'English Rose'

Yesterday I received my new MUA Pro 'English Rose' mosaic blush. I think it's probably the biggest and prettiest blush that I've ever seen! Because I'm superly kind, I thought I'd show you all a little swatch of this beauty!

The MUA Pro range consists of 2 mosaic bronzers and 1 mosaic blush, the bronzers are just as lovely as the blush but I only bought the blush due to already owning a million bronzers.

The mosaic bronzers and blush retail at £2.50 each and can be purchased from Superdrug.

This blush is absolutely awesome, not only is it a blush, it's also a highlighter too! 

I used the blush today and I have to say that I'm really impressed with it. It lasted all day and I didn't notice any fading, I had been shopping in hot sticky weather so would have imagined the blush to have faded a little but I'm pleased to tell you that it didn't fade whatsoever. 

Whilst applying the blush, I also noticed that I didn't have to use much of the blush, this is probably due to great pigmentation and colour intensity.

MAC Surf, Baby! Cheek Powder

In my opinion the MAC Surf, Baby! Cheek Powder is by far the most appealing product in the whole entire Surf Baby collection.  The cheek powder (blush) is called My Paradise, it's a bright coral colour with the addition of an embossed gold flower.

So here are the pro's and con's to the cheek powder:

The Pro's:

• The pigmentation is very good, it's comparable to the pigmentation of the normal MAC blushes.
• It's a beautiful colour and would suit anybody with a pale skin tone. I'm superly pale and I think that this cheek powder suits me well. 
• The gold flower within the cheek powder is lovely, it gives your cheeks a light shimmer which will be great for summer as the shimmer will reflect in the sun! 
• The cheek powder suits the collection very well, it's surfy and summery. 

The Con's:

• The gold flower doesn't run through the whole cheek powder, it's just on the surface of the cheek powder. I can't see the flower lasting long either as it's quite crumbly therefore you use a lot of the product. 
• The cheek powder is £19.00 so it's kinda pricey.

MAC Cremeblend Blush in 'So Sweet, So Easy'

Yeah you guessed it, I'm going to be reviewing MAC Cremeblend blush in 'So Sweet, So Easy'. I initially bought this because I've never tried MAC Cremeblend blush before and I wanted to see how great this product was. I also picked this particular one because the colour of this blush looked fabulous.

I have to say that I don't love this blush but then again I also don't dislike it, I just think that it could have been a lot better.

The Con's:

• The pigmentation of this isn't great, I had to use three swipes to swatch this.
• It wears off after about half an hour of putting it on.
• It doesn't blend well, I tried blending with my finger and numerous brushes but it still looked streaky on my face.
• You have to use a lot of the blush in order for it to show up on your cheeks. 
• After the blush had worn off I was left with white patches on my cheeks. 

The Pro's:

• It's a lovely colour, it would probably suit the majority of people.
• Perfect for people with a pale skin tone. 
• It's very creamy so would be great for people with dry skin. 

I expected so much from this blush because I've heard so many people raving about it, sadly I do not share the same views. This review does not in any way make MAC a bad brand, sometimes some of their products are just better than others. I also think that the normal MAC Powder blushes are fabulous, probably the best blushes that I own, it's just a shame that I didn't really like their Cremeblend blush.

I'm not going to fully give up on this blush so instead I'm going to try it without wearing foundation to see if it's any better. I know I should be able to wear this both with and without foundation but considering it was £17.00 then I'm going to try and get my money's worth.

It's also important to know that these are just my own views, you may try it and think it's fabulous, everyone has a different skin tone and skin type so it might work for some people rather than others.

I think I may have to try Illamasqua cream blush instead. If anyone knows of any good cream blushes then comment in the box below.

Too Faced Leopard Love

If you haven't guessed already, I'm going to be reviewing Too Faced Leopard Love. Leopard love is a lovely palette which contains a trio of bronzer, blusher and highlighter. This is such a handy palette for someone who is on the go as they probably haven't got the time to individually choose a bronzer, blusher and a highlighter. It would also be handy for taking on holiday or just for people who generally love make-up! I also think it's great how the palette has instructions on the back, I've never seen anything like this before so I think it's something that makes this little trio unique.

If you're unable to read the unbelievably small writing then here are the instructions;
"Bronze - 'Peach Leopard' - For a healthy and natural bronzed glow, sweep over face, neck and decolletage.
Blush - 'Candy Leopard' - For a sexy, luminous flush, pop color onto apples of cheeks and temples.
Brighton - 'Pink Leopard' - To enhance cheeks and brighten complexion apply above cheekbones, around outer eyes, forehead, nose and chin."

So as you can see the highlighter is on the left, the blusher is in the middle and the bronze is on the right. I think the best quality of this palette is the packaging as I really love the print of this trio! How nice is that leopard print look, it's so funky! I have to say it's an overall, great, girly, useful palette and it's going to be great for the summer period! The colours are very pigmented so you only need to use a tiny bit. Oh and a word of warning to those of you who are quite pale...go easy on the bronzer! This bronzer is quite dark so you don't need a lot :)
