NOTD: Ombré Cherry Blossom

I'm currently in the process of decorating my new bedroom so as you can imagine I'm spending a lot of time searching for furniture, ornaments and pretty things I can place on the walls etc. One of my ideas is to have cherry blossom on one of my walls so I've been looking high and low for the perfect cherry blossom wall decal. I have an image in my head of what I want but I just cannot seem to find anything that matches the image in my head... frustrating.

My obsession with cherry blossom is starting to become unhealthy, so much so that I decided to paint cherry blossom on my nails. I decided to do ombré cherry blossom nails for two reasons, one, I like ombré and two, it's on trend.

Nail Polishes Used:
Essie 'Blanc'
Essie 'Mint Candy Apple'
Orly 'Winter Wonderland'
Brown, White, Red Acrylic Paints

I hope you like my ombré cherry blossom nails as much as I do and if you'd like a tutorial on how to create them, comment below!

Thank you for reading!

NOTD: The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Now this isn't what I'd call one of my typical NOTD posts as I usually just show you all a photograph of a pretty nail varnish on my nails but today I have something a little different to show you.
It's very rare that I wear nail varnish on its own as I've always got something jazzy on my nails, from spots to stripes to penguins in a blizzard. So on the rare occasion when I'm wearing just a pretty coloured nail varnish, I'll do an NOTD post. I think I featured Topshop 'Pool Party' in my most recent NOTD post.

Anyway, let's talk about the fun things...
If you have read my blog from the very beginning or watched my youtube videos then you'll know that I love The Very Hungry Caterpillar. My mamma used to read the story to me during and after pregnancy and ever since being a little girl, I have loved The Very Hungry Caterpillar. And still at nearly 21, I have an obsession with it, I have a Very Hungry Caterpillar mug, blanket and cushions (that's one thing you all now know about me). So since I love The Very Hungry Caterpillar so much, I have spent my afternoon creating The Very Hungry Caterpillar nails. I absolutely adore them and thought I'd do a NOTD post.

I'm considering doing NOTD posts featuring nail art as well as normal nail varnishes so if that's something you'd like to see then please let me know.

If anyone would like me to do a tutorial, please let me know as I don't mind doing one, I'll just be doing it on a nail wheel as I don't want to remove this from my nails (it took a long time to do). I will warn you though, it's a very fiddly and detailed design so it takes a lot of time, patience and effort.

Are any of my lovely readers Very Hungry Caterpillar fans?

NOTD: Topshop 'Pool Party'

I recently bought 'Pool Party' after seeing it online, it appeared to be more of a mint green colour on the website but in the flesh it's more of a turquoise colour. I don't mind this as it's a lovely colour for S/S but I was hoping for more of a mint green colour.

I cannot comment on the quality of this nail varnish as I've only had it on for 2 days but so far so good. One thing I will say is that it took little time to dry which is a massive bonus as I'm very impatient.
If anyone would like me to do a review on the Topshop nail varnishes then please let me know.

I love this colour as it's fun and vibrant but I really wish it looked like it did on the website. Clearly Topshop has deceived me.

'Pool Party' retails at £5.00 and can be purchased in-store and online at Topshop.

Do you like 'Pool Party'?

NOTD: Sparkles & Hearts

I know there's still a couple of weeks until Valentines Day but I felt like creating Valentines inspired nails, a little earlier than I planned to. I've basically opted for the typical valentines colours and of course, hearts.

Nail varnishes used: Orly 'White Out', O.P.I 'Red My Fortune Cookie and O.P.I 'Shorts Story'.

I don't know whether to do a tutorial so if you'd like me to do one, comment below!

NOTD: Nubar 'Hot Pink'

I have never tried Nubar nail varnishes before and since they were on offer on Beauty Bay I thought I'd try a couple of the shades. I purchased 'Hot Pink' and 'Amazon Coral'.

'Hot Pink' has to be my favourite out of the two so I thought I'd try that one out first. It's basically a bright neon pink, in some ways it resembles Orly 'Passion Fruit' except it's got pinker undertones to it.

It's a lovely summery colour and it's definitely not for the colour shy. I tried to take a photograph on my iPhone and camera but neither would show it's true colour so I had to rely on my trusty Mac. Even though the nail varnish looks very bright on this photograph, it's a lot more neon in real life. It's a beautiful colour and if you like Models Own 'Bubblegum', you're going to LOVE this.

Thanks for reading! If you have any questions about the nail varnish, please feel free to comment below!
