The Real Techniques Shading Brush retails at £6.99 and it is available at Love-Makeup

My final thoughts...

This brush is a good shading brush but I also find it useful for applying a base eyeshadow. I think this brush would also be good for applying cream eyeshadows. I wouldn't say this is a great brush for blending as it's quite a flat brush but it's still a good brush nevertheless! At £6.99 you cannot complain!

Hope this has been helpful!

The Real Techniques Powder Brush retails at £10.99 and it is available at Love-Makeup

My final thoughts...

This powder brush is a great brush for applying powder and bronzer. I wouldn't recommend using this brush for blush as it's far too big. This brush really does apply powder evenly, and I also found that the brush doesn't use up a lot of the product either. This brush is cruelty free and also very cheap so if you're looking for a new powder brush then this is the one to buy!

My final thoughts...

This brush is absolutely amazing. It is extremely soft, you honestly don't understand how soft this brush is!  The brush picks up the right amount of blush meaning you're not using a lot of your blush. Applying the blush to your cheeks is effortless, the blush glides onto your face like a dream. It's a fabulous brush and I'd say it was probably my favourite Real Techniques brush.

My final thoughts...

It's probably not the softest stippling brush that I've ever felt but it's still soft. This brush is great for applying cream blush and also buffing in foundation.

The Real Techniques Travel Essentials Set retails at £18.99 and it is available at Love-Makeup

My final thoughts...

The foundation brush is probably the softest foundation brush that I own, the bristles are just so smooth! The brush is a perfect size and I can see it being very useful for those of you who have to quickly apply your foundation.

In my opinion the domed shadow brush is perfect for applying a base eyeshadow. I don't really see how this brush can define eyes as it's too flat.

The multi-task brush is by far my favourite brush in this set. You can use it to apply blush, bronzer and also powder. It's a brilliant brush and it's worth buying this set just for the brush.

Hope this has been helpful to you all!

The brushes in the starter set have purple handles, this indicates that the brushes are designed for the eye area. It is important to know that the Real Techniques brushes are colour coded. My final thoughts...

The brow brush is extremely soft and I think it is the perfect brow brush. I think this would also be a fab brush for eyeliner too!

The pixel-point eyeliner brush is far to big in my opinion. I can't see how this would create a perfect line, it's too bulky. Maybe it would be good for applying eyeshadow to your bottom lash line.

The accent brush is fab, I love how it can be used for multiple purposes. I haven't tried using this brush for smudging but it's definitely on my to do list!

The deluxe crease brush is ideal for blending because it's not too big and it's not too small. It reminds me of a MAC 217.

The base shadow is too big, in terms of roundness. If the bristles weren't so round then this would be a brilliant brush for applying a base eyeshadow. I might try blending with this brush.

Real Techniques Core Collection

The Real Techniques Core Collection consists of four brushes. These include a detailer brush, pointed foundation brush, buffing brush and a contour brush:

Detailer Brush – Precision cut to effortlessly conceal problem areas; or, use with lipstick for long-lasting shape and definition.

Pointed Foundation Brush – Use with liquid foundation to build custom coverage.

Buffing Brush – Ideal for full coverage application of powder and mineral foundation.

Contour Brush – Delicately applies highlighter to contour or create sheer, soft-focus finish.

The brushes in the core collection have gold handles, this indicates that the brushes are designed for creating a flawless base. It is important to know that the Real Techniques brushes are colour coded. Brushes with a golden handle are designed to create a base, brushes with a purple handle are designed for the eye area and brushes with a pink handle are also known as finishing brushes.

My final thoughts...

I like all of the brushes in this set but I do think the pointed foundation brush is too small. I like to use a fairly big foundation brush when applying my foundation so I think I may have to use this brush for something else. I don't dislike this brush it's just a little too small for my liking, I do however think it's handy for reaching into those awkward nooks and crannies!

I also cannot see how the detailer brush can be used for concealer, it's so tiny! I think I'll stick to using this brush for lipstick application.

The contour brush is not only good for contouring, it's also brilliant for applying blush to the apples of your cheeks. The bristles are just so soft and they feel divine on your cheeks!

The buffing brush is excellent for buffing in foundation, it helps to create a smooth, flawless look.
