Travalo Excel

Some of you may be familiar with the Travalo Excel and some of you might not have a clue what I’m talking about but either way, I’m going to review this little beauty. 

What is Travalo?

"Travalo is a refillable atomizer bottle with a difference. Its patented easy fill system allows you to refill in seconds with a simple repeat pump action. Travalo makes it easy and convenient to have a fresh confidence boost any time, anywhere."

What are the main features of Travalo Excel?

No extras needed: You don’t have to use a funnel or take apart the Travalo to fill it. The hole provided at the bottom of the Travalo is the only thing you will need to use when filling up the Travalo.

Easy to fill up: The Travalo fills directly from almost any fragrance bottle with a removable spray head. To fill the Travalo you just have to remove the spray head from the fragrance bottle, hold the Travalo directly on top of the stick that remains on the fragrance bottle and pump up and down until the Travalo is filled. When filling the Travalo it is key that the lid is kept on the Travalo and that the filling process is done on a flat surface as this prevents any possible spillages. It’s as simple and as easy as that.

Holds a lot of fragrance: The Travalo Excel holds 65 sprays of fragrance. The Travalo also has an integrated fill level indicator window; the purpose of this is to show how much fragrance is left in the Travalo.

Available in many colours: The Travalo Excel is available in 10 colours; red, orange, gold, green, blue, dark pink, light pink, purple, silver and black. There is literally a colour for everybody and another great thing is that the Travalo Excel can be purchased by men and women due to the vast colour choice.

Small, compact & lightweight: The Travalo is only 8.6cm long and weighs 20g when filled. It’s small, lightweight and perfect for anyone. To give you an indication, a packet of chewing gum weighs around 25g and isn’t heavy at all. The Travalo weighs 5g less so as you can imagine it’s very lightweight and very user friendly as it doesn’t weigh a lot. There’s nothing worse than carrying something in your bag that weighs a tonne.  

Has a protective case: The Travalo comes in its very own protective carry case. The carry case prevents the Travalo from getting dirty or scratched when placed in any form of bag. The carry case is made from thick, protective plastic and it has a lovely black and white design with a clear lid. The lid of the case is clear so that if you have more than one Travalo, you’re able to easily select which Travalo you want to use. A clear lid means you can see the colour of each Travalo.

Made from the best materials: The Travalo doesn’t contain any dangerous parts and it is made from aircraft grade aluminium meaning it’s light yet very strong. The Travalo can fall onto concrete, wood or tiles without breaking. How awesome is that?!

Aeroplane Friendly: The Travalo can be taken on-board anywhere in the world; it is 100% hand luggage friendly. The Travalo also has pressure regulating system that makes sure the bottle adjusts to changing air pressure during flights. This prevents any leaks and spillages.

How do you fill the Travalo Excel?

Remove the perfume cap.

Once you've removed the perfume cap, you're left with a stick.

Place the bottom of the Travalo Excel on top of the stick.

 Pump the Travalo Excel up and down until it's filled.

And you're done!

Can anyone use the Travalo Excel?

Anyone can use the Travalo Excel whether you’re a man, woman, younger or older. I wouldn’t recommend giving the Travalo to a child as it could be a hazardous thing to do. The child wouldn’t be at any danger with the Travalo but they could end up squirting fragrance into their mouth which is dangerous and also unpleasant.  

The Good

• Concept: I love the concept of the Travalo Excel, it's so handy being able to carry around my favourite perfume without having to lug around a huge bottle of perfume. The Travalo Excel can be taken anywhere, from the gym to on holiday. It's also made from super strong material so you don't have to worry that it's going to break or leak.
• Easy To Use: The Travalo Excel is really easy to fill, there's no mess and no fuss. It's a quick, simple process and it literally takes a few seconds to fill the Travalo.
• Colour Choice: I think the colour choice is fabulous! The Travalo Excel is available in 10 wonderful, eye-catching colours. There is definitely a colour for everyone. I also like how they have targeted both a male and female audience.
• Size: The Travalo Excel is the perfect size, it's small, compact and it very lightweight. The Travalo is only 8.6cm long so as you can imagine, it isn't going to take up a lot of room in your bag. It only weighs 20g when filled too, again, this isn't going to weigh your bag down.
• Price: The Travalo Excel retails at £12.49 which is very reasonable. The Travalo Excel is guaranteed to last a life time so for £12.49, it's excellent. A great product with an even greater price tag.
• Aeroplane Safe: The Travalo Excel is 100% aeroplane safe, you can happily bring it onboard in your hand luggage. 
• Ideal For Gifts: Travalo do other products than the Travalo Excel, they also sell the Travalo Classic and gift packs. They would make perfect gifts, as they're unusual yet useful products. It can be hard finding presents for people so any Travalo product would be perfect for a gift.

The Okay

• Availability: The Travalo Excel can only be purchased online at http://www.travalo.com/. This isn't a huge problem as Travalo ship to the UK and also internationally. It's only a problem for those people who aren't keen on online shopping as Travalo cannot be found in-store. It would be brilliant if Travalo products were sold in Boots or Superdrug as it'd be handy for those who don't like to shop online.
• Packaging: I think it's brilliant how the Travalo comes in it's very own carry case and I especially like the design on the packaging but I don't think the packaging is aimed at everyone. The floral design can be interpreted as being quite feminine so I think men could be put off buying a Travalo as they may assume they're only suitable for women due to the floral packaging. Travalo do sell gift packs containing a black and silver Travalo Excel so this may be more appropriate. One thing I do like about the packaging is that it prevents the Travalo from getting scratched.

The Bad

• The only bad thing about the Travalo Excel is that I want every single colour! Brilliant concept, brilliant shade range, everyone should go and buy one of these beauties!

Overall...

The Travalo Excel is a wonderful product and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It's great for carrying around in your handbag, taking on your jolly holidays and even popping in your posh little clutch on a night out. The Travalo can be taken anywhere, it can be refilled without cleaning it first and it will not spill, break or crack, even if dropped. It's so easy to fill and with it holding 65 sprays, I can't see it needing to be filled up regularly. Overall I love the Travalo Excel and definitely think you should all check it out!
