Do these float your boat?!

Recently I came across a new beauty invention, lip tattoos. At first I thought they were pretty odd and completely dismissed the idea of ever trying them but a few weeks have passed and more lip tattoos have been created and I can't help but think...'what if they looked awesome'. Do I dear to wear or do I leave the £10.00 lip tattoos all safe and sound on the Selfridges website.

The lip tattoos were created by a brand called Violent Lips and if you have never heard of this brand before, you need to check them out. FUNKY is definitely the word.

The lip tattoos retail between £10.00-£12.00 depending on where you buy them from and you get 3 lip tattoos per pack so in effect it costs around £3.33 every time you wear a pair, pretty expensive don't you think?

The lip tattoos are available in over 50 designs meaning there is something for everyone.

Here are the weird yet wonderful lip tattoos...

Flag Collection:

Glitteratti Collection:

Pink Collection:

Red Collection:

I honestly think these are amazing, they are so different and unique and I think they would be great for a party.

I think they're a great concept and I can see many people wanting to try them but for £12.00, are they really worth it? I could buy a lipstick for £12.00 that would last months on end, not 3 times.

Nevertheless, they are amazing and I probably will end up buying a pack. I will probably wear them whilst shopping to see what reactions I get from other people ;)

So the question is, do these float your boat? Comment below and tell me what you all think :D

So I've been making jewellery again! I opted for super duper cake rings as they seem to be a favourite amongst a lot of you. I also decided to make an 'egg & chips' ring as I thought it would be rather funky, I don't know how many of you will like this ring so if you love it lots then please comment below :D

Video Nail Tutorial: Marble Nails

So yesterday, I did a post about how to create marble nails. Since the process is a little hard to grasp, I thought I would do a video tutorial as well as a post tutorial as some people may find it easier to watch than read.

Here's the video tutorial...

Happy Birthday To Me! :D

So today it's my birthday and I have to say that I have been spoilt rotten! The house has been decorated with balloons and banners and I received lots of lovely cards and presents :)

I thought I'd share my day with you all. I shall show my lovely balloons, banners and presents! :D

So let's start off with the decorations...

My mamma, sister and step dad bought me this balloon :D

My boyfriend bought me this balloon :)

And my mamma, sister and step dad bought me this balloon too. It was sat on the window ledge but it wouldn't picture well :P

More banners were placed all over our lounge :P

Every year my Mamma decorates the house when someone in our lovely family has a birthday :D

And now for my lovely prezzies...

I should have taken everything out of this box really but I forgot like a silly cole. I basically put all my jewellery into this box, I shall be doing a birthday video so I shall individually show each piece of jewellery :)

I love my Thomas Sabo charm bracelet. If you're wondering why I have a polar bear charm, then it's because I LOVE polar bears... I've named him Snowy :)

This has to be the best ring ever. Biscuits on a plate....how fab! If you're wondering where it's from then my mamma bought it from Punky Allsorts.

The infamous Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel... It's such a lovely bronzer and I don't think I'll ever throw away the beautiful packaging it came in.

Lots and lots of make-up!... I think my mamma and boyfriend know me well ;)

This Sigma brush kit is amazing! The brushes are superly soft and they all have coral handles! :D

My boyfriend bought me this :D He bought it off the Sigma website and paid $38.00 just to make sure it would be here in time for my birthday... that's what you call love ;) I cannot wait to use it!

This perfume is gorgeous, it smells divine and the bottle is beautiful. It's the kinda perfume you couldn't get tired of looking at.

My polar bear hat!....YAY! This is definitely going to be worn in winter, especially on the mornings when I have to be in uni for 9 o'clock!... early morning = COLDNESS!

The best converse ever. They are officially... JAZZY! :) I think I'll be wearing these 24/7, they are amazing :)

My mamma bought me this, isn't it lovely? :) I shall definitely be placing this notebook and pen in my bag :)

I also received a Boots gift voucher, a one day make-up course and also lots of pennies! :D I really have had a brill birthday and I have to say that I'm such a lucky girly!

Thank you so much to my beautiful mamma, sister, step dad and boyfriend, you have made my day so so special! I'd also like to say a big thank you to everyone else who kindly bought me a card and a present, it's so so lovely of you all :) <3

Thanks again to my lovely family, you mean the world to me and more! :)

I shall be doing a birthday video tomorrow so I'll fully show each of my presents and things! :D Thank you for reading! :)

How to create Marble Nails!

So this is my first attempt at marble nails and I have to say that I'm rather impressed, they're superly duperly funky! I loved creating marble nails because it's a simple enough process and it's also very effective, the only down fall is that it's a very messy process!

I opted for stripe marble nails as I thought this would look great with a variety of colours. I think I might do multi-coloured marble nails in a couple of weeks time :D

If you would like to request a nail tutorial for next week then please feel free to comment below!

To create marble nails, you will need:
  • White nail varnish
  • Pink nail varnish
  • Black nail varnish
  • Blue nail varnish
  • Top coat
  • Plastic cup
  • Sellotape
  • Wooden skewers / cocktail sticks
  • Nail varnish remover
  • Cotton wool bud
You can use any nail varnishes to create marble nails, I just chose the colours I liked best.

To create marble nails, follow my nice and easy steps:
1.) Apply the white nail varnish to your nails, you may need two coats depending on what your nail varnish is like.

2.) Once dry, apply sellotape to your fingers. Apply one piece around the back of your fingers, and a piece to either side of your nail.

3.) Fill the plastic cup with water, carefully apply a drop of each of the nail varnishes to the water. You have to create a 'bullseye' effect. I added drops in this sequence: black, pink, blue, white, black, pink, blue, white, black, pink. Each time you add a drop, remember to apply it to the centre as the nail varnish spreads out.

4.) Using a wooden skewer or cocktail stick, create a web effect. If this sounds confusing then I'll be uploading a video tutorial tomorrow.

5.) It's time to dunk in your finger! Carefully dunk your finger into the water, once it's been dunked keep your nail under the water for a few seconds. Whilst your finger remains in the water, clear up the excess nail varnish using a wooden skewer.

6.) Take your finger out of the water and then remove the sellotape from your finger. Using a cotton wool bud and some nail varnish remover, clean up the nail varnish that may be left on your fingers.

7.) Once your nails are fully dry, apply a top coat. A top coat will preserve your nails for a very long time! :D

Thanks for reading lovely people! If you have any questions or requests then please feel free to comment below. If you're wondering where the video tutorial is, then it'll be up tomorrow....YAY!
