How to create Ombré Animal Print Nails!

I have been meaning to do an ombré nail tutorial for a while but I've either just forgotten about doing one (very unusual for me *wink wink*) or I've chosen to do a different design. So on Friday I forced myself to trot down to ASDA and buy a multipack of sponges so I could do a funky ombré nail tutorial.  I decided to do an ombré animal print nail tutorial as I felt being a little different.
This tutorial will show you how to create ombré nails as well as ombré animal print nails.

What you will need:
  • Scissors
  • Sponge
  • White nail polish
  • Neon pink nail polish
  • Bright blue nail polish
  • Lilac nail polish
  • Baby blue nail polish
  • Baby pink nail polish
  • Green nail polish
  • Silver nail polish
  • WAH nail art pen

If you would like to create ombré animal print nails all you have to do is follow my nice and easy steps! You can use any 3 nail polishes you like for the ombré part of the design, I just decided to go for neon pink, bright blue and lilac as I thought they went well together.

Step One:
Apply one coat of the white nail polish to your nails.

Step Two:
Cut up the sponge into approximately 3cm pieces using the scissors.

Step Three:
In a 3 stripe pattern, apply the neon pink, bright blue and lilac nail polish to a piece of sponge.

Step Four:
Gently roll and dab the sponge across your nails. Repeat this step twice, obviously let the first layer dry completely before applying a second layer.

And that's the ombré part complete! If you don't fancy creating an animal print design on top of the ombré design you can just leave it like this but be sure to add a top coat as this will prevent your nails from chipping!

Step Five:
Using medium sized dotting tools and the baby pink, baby blue, green and silver nail polish, create several dots in a diagonal shape.

Step Six:
Using the WAH nail art pen, create the leopard print.

How to create leopard print:

Step Seven:
Using the WAH nail art pen, create the zebra print.

And we're done!

I hope you liked this tutorial and I also hope you found it helpful.
Like I said before, you can use any three colours for the ombré, you don't have to use the exact same colours I used (although I think they look pretty funky together!). You don't have to add both animal prints like I did too, you could just add one or the other.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post and if you have any comments or requests, please feel free to comment below.
