The Sleek Pout Paints have the consistency of a lipgloss but they dry to the finish of a lipstick. They can also be mixed together to create, fun and unique colours.
Here's what Sleek say about the Pout Paints:
"Pout paint is the new ultimate lip pigment that provides a blast of colour in one purse sized tube! The intensely saturated formula provides outstanding colour pay-off in just one tiny speck, and dries to a long lasting satiny finish. With a wide variety of Pout Paints to choose from you can mix up your very own unique shade using a combination of colours, or simply go for one stand out striking pop of colour."
The Pout Paints are available in 11 different shades and they retail at £4.99 each. They can be purchased off the Sleek website or from your local Superdrug.
Here are the Pout Paints...
Top Row: Cloud 9, Minx, Milkshake, Peachy Keen, Lava, Pin Up.
Bottom Row: Peek A Bloo, Mauve Over, Rosette, Pinkini, Port.
I only purchased 3 of the Pout Paints as I wasn't really keen on the majority of the colours. The Pout Paints I ordered are 'Milkshake', 'Rosette' and 'Pin Up'.
Here's a little information about the pout paints I purchased:
'Milkshake' - A pale coral colour.
'Rosette' - A bright barbie pink colour.
'Pin Up' - A true red colour.

Now it's time for the lovely swatches...

I personally love 'Rosette' the best because the colour is beautiful! It's such a lovely pink and I think I'll definitely be taking it on my jolly holidays! Milkshake is also a nice colour too but I can't help but think it looks like 'foundation lips', hopefully it'll look a little better when I've got a tan. Pin Up is just a true red, it looks like every other red I own.
The Sleek Pout Paints are almost, if not 100% identical to the OCC Lip Tars. They have the same concept, the same intense pigmentation and the same consistency as OCC Lip Tars. The only difference between the two is the taste, the Sleek Pout Paints taste awful, they are superly bitter!
I noticed that the Sleek Pout Paints I ordered were similar to some of the OCC Lip Tars that I already owned. They're practically the same colour.
Sleek Pout Paint -vs- OCC Lip Tar...
From left to right; Pin Up -vs- Harlot, Milkshake -vs- Divine, Rosette -vs- Pageant.
Top Row (Sleek): Pin Up, Milkshake, Rosette.
Bottom Row (OCC): Harlot, Divine, Pageant.
I love both the OCC Lip Tars and the Sleek Pout Paints and I honestly cannot say that I prefer one than the other. The both have amazing pigmentation, great staying power and they both can mixed to create different, unique colours. All in all they are both great but the one and only thing I will say is that OCC Lip Tars have a better smell and they don't taste awful. Also, OCC Lip Tars are a little more expensive as they retail at £9.00.
So hear are my overall thoughts about the Sleek Pout Paints...
Pros:
- The pigmentation is immense. They actually stain your skin! After swatching these beauties, I was left with a very colourful hand!
- The colours of the Pout Paints are really intense. The colour pay off is amazing, the colour you get is the colour that you can see in the tube!
- They are super long lasting. They literally last all day, even while eating and drinking.
- You only need to use a tiny amount, a little definitely goes a long way! If you use too much of the product then things could get messy!
- They are £4.99 which is a complete bargain!
- They can be purchased off the Sleek website and also from Superdrug meaning they are easily accessible.
- The packaging is great and I love how the applicator is really thin, it means you don't end up using a lot of product.
- You need to use a lip liner with these because they do bleed. Attractive.
- There are only 11 shades available which I think is pretty shoddy, surely Sleek could have released a lot more super duper colours?
- I think it's a little naughty how Sleek have stolen the concept from OCC.
- The Pout Paints taste awful. Probably the worst tasting lip product ever. Good job I only have to apply them on my lips and not it my mouth!
- They also smell pretty vile. Worse than the Pout Polishes!
Overall I love the Sleek Pout Paints and I would recommend them to anyone! The shades are all quite vivid so they probably won't be to everyones taste but other than that they are fab and I highly suggest that you try at least one of them! :D
