June Favourites

So it's this time of the month again, the time where I tell you all my favourite products this month.

Here are my June favourites!...

I thought I would include a couple of 'non makeup' products in this post as it makes my June favourites a little different.

Vivienne Westwood 'Boudoir' Perfume - 75ml - £58.00

My mamma bought me this for christmas and I have to say that it's the nicest perfume I've ever owned. It's a perfume that can be worn in all seasons and it has a very unusual smell, obviously a nice smell! The bottle is also stunning, I love how the famous 'Orb' is the bottle cap! I also like how the perfume is pink, it's a truly beautiful perfume.

Clarins Water Comfort One Step Cleanser - 200ml - £18.50

I love this cleanser, it smells divine, it doesn't leave your skin feeling oily whatsoever and it also makes your skin super super soft! I also find that you only have to use a small amount of this cleanser meaning one bottle will last you a while.
I used to use the normal one step cleanser but found that it left my skin feeling very oily, in the long run this created those lovely things we call blackheads!
I'm so glad I've started using this water one step cleanser instead, it's fab! I've also tried the one step cleanser for combination/oily skin and I also find that it's just as good.

MAC Pro Longwear Lipstick in 'Overtime' - £15.50

I have worn this lipstick so much this month, probably because I've been quite busy and have needed to wear a lipstick that will last all day! I featured this lipstick in my recent 'LOTW' post so if you'd like to see a full review on this lipstick then have a read of my 'LOTW' post.

MAC Zoom Lash Mascara - £13.50

This mascara is fab! It separates lashes evenly, gives you luscious black lashes and has amazing staying power, you literally have to pick off the mascara! :P

MAC Eyebrow Pencil in 'Lingering' - £11.50

This will probably be my favourite eyebrow pencil of all time. It's a perfect shade, easy to use and best of all, it's a self sharpening pencil! Great for those lazy individuals like myself or those of you who detest pencil shavings.

Lush 'Mint Julips' Lip Scrub - 25g - £4.75

I think this lip scrub is such a fab invention, especially because you can consume it. I have to say the majority of it ends up in my mouth rather than on my lips, it's like After Eights in a jar except this little jar doesn't have the same calorie content as a pack of After Eights.

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in '01 Fair' - £4.19

Best. Concealer. EVER. Yes the writing may have rubbed off and I do find this a little annoying but it is an amazing concealer. The coverage is second to none and it blends really well, what's best is that I actually found a shade that suits my skin tone... YAY!!!

Real Techniques Core Collection 'Contour Brush' - 4 Brushes included - £18.99

This brush is meant to be used for contouring but I use it as a blush brush. I think this brush is perfect for applying blush to the apples of the cheeks.

Hope you've all enjoyed looking at my June favourites! :)

Nail Art Wheel

I've finally put my nail tutorials onto a nail art wheel, I should have done it ages ago but just didn't.
It took a long time to recreate the designs but that didn't bother me at all, I liked recreating all of my nail tutorials.

I also need ideas for future nail tutorials, I've ordered 10 nail art wheels so I'm open to lots of suggestions.

Here's my nail art wheel...

I think the nail art wheels are so useful, they are good for practicing on and they are great for storing designs.

Shopping With My Mamma :)

Today I went shopping with my mamma and I have to say that we had lots of fun! We left the house at 10:30am and returned at 8:00pm so I'd say that it was a good day out. We did have to go to an appointment but all went well and as soon as we'd finished we went shopping! :D

I didn't really buy much today which is very unusual for me but my mamma bought me some lovely things. She's a very kind, generous, beautiful mamma and I love her lots! :D

My purchase of the day...

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation in 'Porcelain' - £29.00

Here's what my mamma bought me...

Primark Coral/ Tan Satchel Bag - £7.00

New Look Flower Playsuit - £22.99

My mamma also bought me underwear and pyjamas but I won't show you those as it's slightly weird.

I had a really nice time shopping with my mamma, we saw lots of nice things but then again we saw lots of odd things, New Look have launched a new shoe collection designed by London fashion students and if you haven't seen the collection then you need to. Me and my mum couldn't believe the shoes they had designed as they're all pretty hideous. My mum wanted to try on a pair for a laugh but after deciding she wouldn't have been able to stand up in them, she decided not to :P

Here are the 'delightful' shoes...

However, we did see a pair of awesome shoes. Now if you know me well then you'll know that I love Converse, especially white high tops. We decided to look in Schuh as I'm on a mad hunt for a pair of white sandals, whilst searching I noticed these beauties...

They're coral, high tops and have my name wrote all over them! I love these so so much and my kind mamma said she'd buy them for me for my birthday, I cannot wait! Only a month to go...woop!

Overall it was a nice shopping trip and I loved spending time with my mamma, I couldn't find anything decent in River Island and Topshop but I think those shops are kinda hit and miss. Hopefully River Island will stop bringing out winter clothes and start bringing back the bikinis! It's June and I'm seeing furry boots already, it's not normal! :P

MUA Pro Mosaic Blush in 'English Rose'

Yesterday I received my new MUA Pro 'English Rose' mosaic blush. I think it's probably the biggest and prettiest blush that I've ever seen! Because I'm superly kind, I thought I'd show you all a little swatch of this beauty!

The MUA Pro range consists of 2 mosaic bronzers and 1 mosaic blush, the bronzers are just as lovely as the blush but I only bought the blush due to already owning a million bronzers.

The mosaic bronzers and blush retail at £2.50 each and can be purchased from Superdrug.

Here's 'English Rose'...

A swatch...

This blush is absolutely awesome, not only is it a blush, it's also a highlighter too!

I used the blush today and I have to say that I'm really impressed with it. It lasted all day and I didn't notice any fading, I had been shopping in hot sticky weather so would have imagined the blush to have faded a little but I'm pleased to tell you that it didn't fade whatsoever.

Whilst applying the blush, I also noticed that I didn't have to use much of the blush, this is probably due to great pigmentation and colour intensity.

MUA Pro Palettes - Part Two

Today my Superdrug order arrived so you know what that means... SWATCHES! I'm going to be swatching the 'Dusk Til Dawn' and 'Pretty Pastels' palettes.

The MUA Pro palettes consist of 12 eyeshadows and there are 6 different palettes to choose from. The palettes retail at £4.00 each and can be purchased from Superdrug.

Both palettes are fab but I especially love the 'Dusk Til Dawn' palette, I think the eyeshadows are truly stunning. I cannot wait to use these palettes in future makeup tutorials, I'll quite possibly create a lovely summer look using the 'Pretty Pastels' palette and a dramatic look using the 'Dusk Til Dawn' palette.

I think the MUA Pro palettes are amazing but saying that, all MUA products are amazing! You can create millions of looks using just one of these palettes which is great, and you only need to use a tiny bit meaning one palette will last you a life time! The eyeshadows are superly pigmented and they go on like a dream, they're rich, creamy and really blend-able!

MUA Pro Trios - Part Two

Today my Superdrug order arrived and I have to say I was a little excited as I've been looking forward to receiving it all weekend! I ordered 2 eyeshadow trios, 2 palettes, the mosaic blush and an eyeshadow quad. Unfortunately my eyeshadow quad had smashed so I'm going to have to return it tomorrow, the silly delivery guy! I just hope my local Superdrug stocks the eyeshadow quads!

I'm going to be swatching the 'Passion' eyeshadow trio and also the 'Blue Babe' eyeshadow trio. 'Passion' consists of a highlight eyeshadow and 2 purple toned eyeshadows and 'Blue Babe' consists of a highlight eyeshadow and 2 blue toned eyeshadows. The eyeshadow trios retail at £2.50 each and can be purchased from Superdrug.

I love both of these eyeshadow trios and I would recommend buying both of them. I think these trios are also good if you're eager to try out new colours but don't want to spend a fortune. There's nothing worse than buying an expensive eyeshadow and then hating how it looks.

The quality of these trios in amazing, with regards to both pigmentation and texture. I find that the MUA eyeshadows, in general, aren't powdery at all. They are so so creamy meaning you don't have to use a lot of the eyeshadow and you won't get any nasty fall out when applying them.

The MUA eyeshadow trios are fab and I definitely think you should try at least one of them, you won't be disappointed.

LOTW

My favourite lipstick this week has to MAC Pro Longwear lipstick in 'Overtime'. I have worn this lipstick so much this week, probably because it's a lipstick that goes with any makeup look.

MAC describe 'Overtime' as "Light Baby Pink". It is a light pink colour but I'd say it was more of a nudey pink than a baby pink.

The MAC Pro Longwear lipsticks also last up to 8 hours whereas the normal MAC lipsticks last up to 4 hours.

Here's the packaging...

Here's 'Overtime'...

I'm pretty much half way through this tube, it's just a little obvious that I love this lipstick.

A swatch...

I love this lipstick and I think it'll remain in my Top 10 lipsticks forever.

MAC Pro Longwear lipsticks retail at £15.50 each and are available in 12 different shades. They can be purchased from any MAC counter or any free standing MAC store, they are also available at MAC UK

OOTD

It's officially summer and so far we've had one day of nice weather. I thought I'd do a nice summery OOTD that suits our lovely British weather. Once the weather gets a little better I'll wear this outfit without the leggings.. I desperately need to get my little pale legs out in the sun.

Oh I love my shorts. They are probably the best thing that I've bought this summer. My addiction to watermelons is also growing rather dramatically.

A necklace to match my awesome shorts. I also wore matching earrings but I forgot to take a picture of those.

Where I bought my outfit:
Watermelon Shorts - Topshop
White Pocket T-Shirt - Topshop
Black Leggings - Topshop
White Hightop Converse - Office
Watermelon Necklace - Dorothy Perkins

Hope you like my OOTD!

The Top Coat Test!

So today I thought I'd do a little top coat test. I recently received my new O.P.I RapiDry and was egar to try it out, it is meant to be the best top coat ever but can it beat my beloved Sally Hansen top coat?

I have painted my nails with my new O.P.I 'Red My Fortune Cookie' nail varnish and applied the O.P.I RapiDry top coat on my left hand and my Sally Hansen top coat on my right hand. The aim of this test is to see which chips first and I'll be posting the results at the end of the week.

My mum has also carried out this test too using the same nail varnish and top coats so I'll post pictures of her nails at the end of the week too. My mum decided to test them as she uses her hands a lot more than I do.

Here are the top coats...

O.P.I RapiDry Top Coat - (15ml) - £13.25
Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat - (13.3ml) - £4.34

My lovely new nail varnish...

Left hand - O.P.I RapiDry top coat...

Right hand - Sally Hansen top coat...

There are no visible differences between the two top coats, my nails are just as shiny as each other and I experienced no problems with either of them... yet.

I'll be posting about the results next week so keep a look out! Which will win.. the high end top coat or the low end top coat?

:)

MUA Pro Palettes - Part One

The MUA Pro palettes retail at £4.00 each and there are 6 different palettes to choose from. I'll be swatching the 'Heaven And Earth', 'Glitter Ball' and 'Starry Night' palettes. I have also ordered the 'Pretty Pastels' and 'Dusk Til Dawn' palettes so once they arrive I shall swatch them for you too.

Overall, I really like the MUA Pro palettes and I'm happy that I purchased them. Out of the three palettes I'd recommend buying the 'Starry Night' palette as I found this palette had the best colour variety. The 'Glitter Ball' palette also had good colour variety but I think that it contains eyeshadows that cannot be worn everyday, it's a palette for those who like to experiment with colours and it's most definitely a 'summer' palette. I was a little unimpressed with the 'Heaven And Earth' palette as I found that some of the eyeshadows were quite samey. I also found that the brown toned eyeshadows were more of an orange tone, this put me off as I initially bought the palette due to it's vast range of brown eyeshadows.

The pigmentation of all three palettes in amazing. The eyeshadows are super creamy and little eyeshadow is needed. The eyeshadows aren't powdery at all so I would imagine that no fall out occurs when applying them to the eyelid, this I find is a major positive.

These palettes are great value for money, £4.00 is such a good price for a palette containing 12 eyeshadows.
